Numerous studies have been conducted on the need and benefits of teaching via the STEM approach. The results unambiguously favour this educational concept, whereby science, technology, engineering and mathematics are taught together to solve real problems.

The best way of STEM teaching is active learning, and we will use it in this lesson. You will be actively involved in solving a real problem. You will study, experiment, discuss and perform analysis, synthesis and evaluation. You will work on IoT projects. IoT is one of the phenomena of our time. The advent of new technologies makes it possible to connect almost any physical device to the Internet, thus creating the possibility to remotely control such a device and work with its data. It is a multidisciplinary area, in which we apply not only STEM knowledge, but also intervene in other fields such as economics or geography. We will solve the selected problems in a holistic style, using modern technologies and finally, we will meaningfully use personal digital devices.

The lesson is divided into 4 phases REALISE-EXPERIMENT-APPLY-REFLECT. The first phase is theoretical and we will ask what we really want to know and learn. The second phase is practical preparation for your individual projects and we will show you how it actually works. The third phase will be firmly in your hands, and the teams will apply the acquired knowledge as part of working on your own IoT projects. And in the last stage, we present projects/ideas and think about the importance of discoveries and projects/ideas in the real world.
