Expected Outcomes and Assessment Methods

Students will be able to:​

  • Explain the concept of the Internet of Things
  • Use the HARDWARIO IoT kit
  • Program in Node-RED
  • Create their own IoT project and present it

Students will know:​

  • The benefits and risks of the Internet of Things
  • The MQTT protocol for the Internet of Things
  • Transmission technologies for the Internet of Things
  • How to work with the HARDWARIO IoT kit

Assessment methods:​

  • Knowledge test (comparing what students know before and after the lesson)
  • 3-2-1 assessment
  • Verbal assessment of the team projects by the whole group
